The Scientist has always only known the following version of Green Grow the Rushes O. We listen to it around Winter Solstice time but not the rest of the year. Tonight when it came on the ol' MP3 machine for the first time this season, he perked right up. "Oh, I remember this one! This is the song with the toothpaste god, right?"

A sings the more traditional version with "the twelve opossums," which makes me so happy.
