I have made my literature lesson plans. Now I am making history lesson plans. By lesson plans, I mean book lists. So I am looking inside dozens of books on Amazon. I skipped right from the Civil War to the Korean War because WW2 is a project and a half. Anyway I'm going about it kind of randomly. That process caused the juxtaposition of these two facts.
1. The Civil War was our bloodiest; we lost about 600,000 individuals.
2. In the Korean War, our enemy lost 3 MILLION people.
Huh. What do we know of death? Our tragedies are their skirmishes.
Also, I think we should count people we kill as people we lost because we did the losing of them.
